Self Evaluation
The school regularly gathers opinions about it's work from pupils, parents and the wder community
In our self-evaluation of 2010, all the children, some of the parents and some members of the village community filled in questionnaires. We were pleased that, out of those who contributed:
- All parents and children think that the children are safe in school and are encouraged to be healthy in school.
- The Catering Service noted that lots of the children eat healthily at lunchtimes.
- All parents and children think that their children are progressing well in school.
- Almost all children and parents know what the children’s targets are, i.e. what they have to do in order to improve.
- Members of the community and parents think that the children behave well in school.
- The hard work of the HSA [our PTA] was acknowledged.
- Those parents whose children attend our new After School Club are very pleased with it.
- Parents and other visitors thought our Christmas play, ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ was great.
- People who live in the villages like to be invited into school.
Some suggestions were made:
- Parents and children would like more clubs, e.g. gymnastics, rugby, art and cookery. [We have now set up some of these].
- Some suggestions were made for fundraising events, e.g. a Beetle Drive and more cake stalls.
